Agronomy update

During the first quarter of 2023/24 period there was 266mm of rainfall in 29 wet days, representing a significant decrease of 73% compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year (2022/23). Additionally, this quarter experienced a 10% reduction in rainfall compared to the same period last year. The average temperature during this quarter was approximately 30.5 0 C.

The greens:
The greens are in good condition, with a mowing height of 5mm. However, during dry weeks and competition days, they were mowed daily at lower height of 4.5mm. To maintain the health of the green turf, the nutrient replacement was consistently monitored and supplied. Additionally, grooming and tinning activities were regularly performed on the greens, with a monthly dusting routine as well. As for the fairways, they were kept at a mowing height of 12mm. To combat the weed growth, a combination of blanket spraying and manual weeding was employed on the fairways.
